Berkeleyhealth Vitamin D Home Rapid Self-Test 1 Pc

A self-test to determine vitamin D levels in the blood, provided by Berkeley Health. Vitamin D deficiency is a very common problem these days, significantly affecting general health and causing a number of advanced symptoms and issues. The vitamin D level test is an easy and quick home test that gives you a semi-quantitative estimate of your vitamin D level in the blood.

Usage Instructions

* Draw a blood sample and place it on the strip and watch the colors within 10 minutes. A test line (T) that is the same color or darker than the reference line (C) indicates a deficient concentration. A test line darker than line 30 and lighter than line 10 on the accompanying color card indicates an insufficient concentration. A faint test line lighter than line 30 on the color card indicates a sufficient concentration.

Product Features

  • Easy to use.
  • Very quick results.
  • Can be used at home or anywhere.
  • The most accurate results possible.
  • No need to visit a laboratory.

Test Principle

The vitamin D test is an immunochromatographic test based on the competitive binding principle. The test membrane is coated with 25-hydroxyvitamin D antigens in the test line region, and the mixture moves upwards by capillary action. A colored line will always appear in the reference line area as a procedural reference, indicating that the appropriate sample volume has been added and the membrane has absorbed the sample.

Usage Guidelines

* Wash your hands with soap and water and let them dry. Prepare the necessary materials and open the test kit to extract the pipette. Massage your finger to improve blood flow, open the lancet by turning the cover 360 degrees. Press the lancet on the fingertip to prick. Press the hand to get a large drop of blood, if you do not get enough blood, continue massaging. Use the capillary pipette to collect the required blood sample up to the black line (see illustrated instructions in the leaflet). Place the blood sample in the designated area marked with (S) on the test strip. Remove the dilution solution bottle cap, turn it over, and add two drops of the solution to the designated area marked with (B) then wait 10 minutes before reading the test result.
