Description
Noractone contains the inactive substance spironolactone, and spironolactone belongs to a group of medicines known as potassium-sparing diuretics. Spironolactone blocks receptors for the hormone aldosterone (Aldosterone). This process helps increase the excretion of sodium from the body - while maintaining the level of potassium in the blood - through the kidneys.Indications of Use:- High primary aldosterone levels.- Cases of swelling associated with congestive heart failure.- Swelling or ascites associated with cirrhosis.- Essential hypertension.- In patients with low levels of potassium in the blood.
