DUODART is a combination of two active substances that improve the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, dutasteride and tamsulosin hydrochloride:- Dutasteride belongs to a group of drugs called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.- While tamsulosin hydrochloride belongs to a group of drugs called alpha blockers.Indications for use:Benign prostatic hyperplasia in severe and moderate cases (BPH)Reduces the risk of urinary retentionIf the patient is performing surgery and suffers from an enlarged prostate glandTreating an enlarged prostate caused by an increase in the hormone dihydrotestosterone. This inflation leads to problems in the urinary system, which leads to difficulty urinating and sometimes the constant need to urinate.
