Dapazin 10 mg Dapagliflozin – 30 Tablets
Dapazin contains 10 mg of dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It also reduces the risk of hospitalization for heart failure and progression of chronic kidney disease.
Indications:
- As an adjunct to diet and exercise in type 2 diabetes management.
- To lower the risk of heart failure hospitalization in patients with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
- To reduce the risk of kidney disease progression and cardiovascular death in chronic kidney disease.
How to Use:
- Take one tablet (10 mg) once daily at the same time, with or without food.
- The dose may be initiated at 5 mg and increased to 10 mg if needed.
- Recommended duration may be long-term depending on clinical assessment.
Possible Side Effects:
- Frequent urination, dehydration, urinary tract or genital infections.
- Possibility of low blood pressure or dizziness, especially in elderly or on diuretics.
- Rare risk of euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Possible skin or soft tissue infections in rare cases.
Warnings:
- Not for use in type 1 diabetes or ketoacidosis without supervision.
- Caution in renal impairment; dose adjustment required if eGFR <45 mL/min.
- Regular monitoring of blood glucose, ketones, and kidney function advised.
- Do not discontinue treatment abruptly without medical advice.
