Daonil M 2.5/500 mg Tablets – Control Blood Glucose

Daonil M contains a combination of Glibenclamide and Metformin, two antidiabetic agents used together to lower blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It works best with a proper diet and regular exercise.

Ingredients

• Glibenclamide 2.5 mg
• Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg

How to Use

This medicine is for adults only. Take with meals to reduce side effects. Usual starting dose is Glibenclamide 1.25 – 2.5 mg / Metformin 500 – 1000 mg once or twice daily as directed by your doctor.

Warnings and Precautions

• Not for type 1 diabetes, lactic acidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Avoid if you have severe liver or kidney issues, dehydration, or serious infection.
• May cause low blood sugar (especially with missed meals or alcohol) or rare lactic acidosis, a serious condition requiring urgent care.
• Inform your doctor before surgery or if undergoing scans with contrast dye.

Possible Side Effects

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)
• Hypoglycemia
• Lactic acidosis (abdominal pain, fatigue, breathing difficulty)
• Liver disorders

Drug Interactions

Tell your doctor about all medicines you use. Daonil M may interact with:

• Other diabetes medications
• Blood pressure and cholesterol medications
• Anti-inflammatories, antidepressants, antibiotics
• Antivirals, antifungals, corticosteroids
• Oral contraceptives, asthma medications, ulcer treatments
• Bosentan, digoxin, phenytoin, warfarin, contrast dyes

Storage

Store at 20–25°C (68–77°F). Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after expiry date mentioned on the pack.
