Clarixin 500 mg Tablets – 14 Tablets
Clarixin contains clarithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis. It is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections effectively.
Indications:
- Throat infections (pharyngitis/tonsillitis)
- Respiratory tract infections: sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia
- Uncomplicated skin infections
- Mycobacterial infections
- H. pylori infection (with combination therapy)
- Middle ear infections in children
How to Use:
- Take the medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
- Usual dose: 500 mg every 12 hours.
- Children’s dose is weight-based (15–20 mg/kg/day).
- Do not double doses to make up for a missed one.
Possible Side Effects:
- Nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain
- Abnormal taste, headache
- Elevated liver enzymes
- Anxiety, ringing in ears, dizziness
- Heart rhythm changes, kidney problems, hypoglycemia
