Allertec inhibits significantly the allergic skin-inducing histamine, and it removes the symptoms of allergic rhinitis more than loratidine and desloratidine, as it is faster in action and safer than the first generation of antihistamines and is similar to other second-generation antihistamines. On sleep compared to the first generation antihistamines which cause drowsiness, Allertec has a long lasting effect and lasts 24 hours compared to the first generation antihistamines which last from 4-6 hours. Allergic is highly selective on the histamine 1 receptors responsible for allergies and therefore has no effects.
