Gaviscon Advance provides fast, soothing and long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn, which can occur after meals or during pregnancy. Gaviscon Advance gets to work by forming a ‘raft’ over the contents of the stomach to prevent acid from leaving the stomach and refluxing back up the esophagus (food pipe). Gaviscon Advance contains double the concentration of sodium alginate of Gaviscon Original so forms a stronger, more resilient 'raft'. Gaviscon Advance liquid does not contain sugar or gluten and can be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.For oral use:- Shake well before use.- Adults and children over 12 years: take 5-10ml after meals and at a bedtime, up to four times a day.- Children under 12 years: not to be given unless recommended by doctor.
