Apigen Eye/Ear Drops 10ml

Apigen is an eye and ear drop containing the active ingredient Gentamicin 0.3%, used to treat bacterial infections in the eye and ear.

Pharmacological Classification

Antibiotics - Aminoglycosides

Mechanism of Action

Gentamicin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, stopping the growth of bacteria and eliminating the infection.

Medical Uses

  • Treatment of bacterial eye infections.
  • Treatment of external ear infections caused by bacteria.

Dosage and Administration

  • Instill 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye or ear 2 to 4 times daily, or as directed by a physician.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before using the drops.

Side Effects

  • Temporary irritation in the eye or ear.
  • Itching or redness.
  • Rash (rare).

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Warnings

Consult your doctor before using this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Storage Instructions

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat, and out of reach of children.
