Hidrasec is a medicinal product used for the treatment of acute diarrhea symptoms in children older than three months. It contains the active substance racecadotril and is used as supportive therapy when fluid replacement and dietary measures alone are not sufficient, with continued use of oral rehydration solutions.

Indications for Use

• Treatment of acute diarrhea symptoms in children over 3 months of age.
• Used when fluid replacement and dietary measures alone are insufficient.
• Supportive treatment when the cause of diarrhea cannot be directly treated.

How to Use

1. Administer as directed by a physician.

6. 9–13 kg body weight: two sachets per dose.
7. Treatment should continue until two normal stools are achieved, not exceeding 7 days.

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not use in children under 3 months of age.
• Consult a doctor if blood or pus is present in stools or if fever occurs.
• Not recommended for chronic diarrhea or antibiotic-associated diarrhea without medical advice.
• Inform the doctor if the child has kidney or liver disorders.
• Use caution in cases of prolonged or uncontrolled vomiting.
• Contains sucrose; consider this in diabetic patients.
• Discontinue use if severe skin reactions occur.
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
